2017 Agricultural Exemption Appeal Process
The Lee Co Property Appraiser will issue AG denials by July 1. If you received a letter earlier this year asking for information such as copies of the AG lease, IRS tax return schedule F, income and expenses, etc., then a failure to answer virtually guarantees a 2017 denial. Respond immediately if you have not yet done so.An AG classification from the property appraiser means that the property is assessed based on AG use rather than fair market value.
